| Obverse description | Right-facing laureate bust of Carlo III (Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor) with long flowing curls, wearing a laurel wreath and draped in armor with a folded mantle visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair detail characteristic of early 18th-century Sicilian die work. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, with the mintmaster initials C·P appearing in the lower field below the bust truncation. A closely-set beaded border frames the entire design. |
