| Beschrijving keerzijde | A powerful bull charges and butts to the left in energetic low relief, rendered in the vigorous naturalistic style typical of Magnesian coinage of the second century BC. The entire design is enclosed within a decorative circular maeander (meander) border, a motif emblematic of the Maeander River region and a hallmark of Magnesian coin types. Above the bull in the upper field, the ethnic legend ΜΑΓΝΗΤΩΝ is inscribed, while below the bull in two lines the magistrate's name appears as ΔΙΟΝΥΣΙΟΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ, identifying the issuing official as Dionysios, son of Demetrios. |
