| Obverse description | Draped bust of Artemis facing right, her flowing hair rendered in bold, deeply cut wavy locks swept back from the face with great artistic vitality. The goddess is depicted youthful and serene, her features finely modelled in the Late Classical Ionian style. The hair falls in layered tresses behind the neck, with individual strands carefully articulated. No legend appears on the obverse; the entire flan is dominated by the large portrait in high relief. |
