Reverse description An eagle with closed wings stands left atop a thunderbolt, its talons firmly gripping the divine weapon in a bold, high-relief design characteristic of early Ptolemaic coinage. The bird is rendered with fine feather detail across the wings and body. A control mark (X) appears in the lower left field. The encircling legend ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ is divided on either side of the eagle, reading left and right respectively.
