| 背面描述 | Artemis standing facing right, dressed in a short chiton, depicted in the act of drawing an arrow from her quiver with her right hand while holding her bow in her left. The goddess is rendered in a dynamic Hellenistic style. To the left in the field, the vertical Greek legend ANEMOYΡIEΩN identifies the mint city of Anemurium. The regnal date LIB (Year 12, corresponding to 65-66 AD in the reign of Nero) appears in the lower right field. The whole design is contained within a dotted border. |

Commagene's brief restoration under Antiochos IV — Rome having reinstated him after the kingdom's first annexation in 17 AD under Tiberius — ended decisively in 72 AD when Vespasian dissolved the kingdom permanently, absorbing it into the province of Syria. This coin falls in the years immediately preceding the Jewish War, when Antiochos IV contributed forces to Vespasian's campaign; Josephus records his presence at the siege of Jotapata. The octachalkon denomination is specific to the Commagenian civic coinage of this restoration period, minted at Samosata.
