Reverse description A plain cross with a stylised floral or quatrefoil ornament placed in the second and third quarters, a decorative device typical of Empuries county coinage. A Latin circular legend surrounds the cross, partially preserved due to the coin being cut in half to produce this obolo denomination. The execution is in the rough, hand-struck manner characteristic of Romanesque feudal billon coinage of northeastern Iberia.
