| 裏面の説明 | A crosier (episcopal staff) displayed prominently in the central field, surrounded by a group of pellets arranged in the quarters around the staff, all within a plain inner circle. The circular Latin legend reading the count's name runs between the inner circle and the outer beaded border. The type reflects the ecclesiastical authority associated with the County of Urgell and is characteristic of the hammered billon issues of Armengol X. |

Armengol X ruled Urgell during a period when the county was increasingly squeezed between the ambitions of the Crown of Aragon and the County of Foix. His coinage at Agramunt — a mint the counts of Urgell had operated since the twelfth century — reflects a diminished fiscal operation: the billon content in these obols is exceptionally low even by Catalan standards of the period, and the flan preparation shows it.
Armengol X died without legitimate heirs in 1314, extinguishing the male line entirely. The county passed through his daughter Ermengol to her husband, effectively ending Urgell's independence as a minting authority within a generation.
