Reverse description A plain cross occupies the central field, with the quarters at positions 2 and 3 each cantoned by an omega symbol, a distinctive heraldic device associated with the Dreux mint. The legend * DRVCAS CASTA encircles the design, referencing the town of Dreux (Drocae Castrum). The surface is characteristically worn and irregular, consistent with hammered silver coinage of the early 12th century Capetian period.
