| Reverse description | A cross pattee occupies the full field, its four broadening arms radiating from a raised central boss or pellet. One pellet is placed in each of the four quarters between the arms of the cross, giving the reverse a symmetrical four-dot arrangement. The design is entirely anepigraphic, with no legend or exergual inscription. The irregular flan and rough edge reflect the hand-hammered production technique. |
