| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field bears a cross with anchored or floriated terminals, its arms terminating in trefoil or scroll-like flourishes giving an anchor cross appearance, all contained within a plain inner circle. The cross is boldly struck in high relief, filling the inner circle with confident, symmetrical design typical of Occitan feudal minting tradition. The surrounding legend, inscribed between the inner circle and the scalloped flan edge, identifies the lordship of Sauve. The flan edges are irregular, with slight weakness at points consistent with hand-struck hammered coinage. The reverse design directly complements the obverse, together identifying the dual lordship of Anduze and Sauve under Bernard II. |
