| Obverse description | Fourfold quartered coat of arms displaying, in the first and fourth quarters the Árpád dynastic stripes of Hungary, in the second quarter the Hungarian double cross, in the third quarter the Dalmatian leopard heads, and in an additional quarter the Bohemian lion. The Jagiellonian eagle of Poland, depicted with closed wings, appears at the center of the composition outside the shield proper. The escutcheon is rendered in the Gothic heraldic style typical of late medieval Hungarian royal coinage. |
