Reverse description A floriated or long cross with splayed arms dominates the reverse field, divided into four quadrants in the manner typical of French tournois obols of the 15th century. The cross extends nearly to the beaded inner circle that frames the central design. An uncial Latin legend encircles the periphery of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular shape and wear of the hammered planchet. The die workmanship is consistent with Dauphiné provincial mint production under Louis XI.
