Reverse description Arsakes I, the dynastic founder, depicted as an archer seated right upon an omphalos (sacred domed stone), holding a strung bow in his right hand. The figure is rendered in a schematic Hellenistic style. A three-line Greek inscription occupies the field around the seated figure, identifying the issuing authority by the dynastic Arsacid title. The overall composition follows the standard Parthian royal reverse type established in the earliest issues of the series.
