| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zoroastrian fire altar depicted centrally with ribbons or ties flanking the shaft, surmounted by flames above which a star and crescent appear in the upper field to either side. Two attendants or priest figures stand in profile facing the altar, one on each flank, in the canonical Sasanian reverse composition. The design is executed in the compact, schematic style characteristic of small-denomination hammered silver coinage of the period. |
