Reverse description Forepart of a lion to right with head reverted to left, the animal's mane rendered in bold relief and its raised left forepaw conveying vigor and dynamism. A branch appears in the left field as a secondary symbol. The entire design is set within a shallow circular incuse square, a hallmark of early Pontic coinage technique. The composition is compact and forceful, consistent with the artistic conventions of late fourth-century BC Panticapaean silver issues. No exergual line is present.
