| 背面描述 | A plain cross pattée occupying the central field, dividing the coin into four quadrants. The cross is boldly struck and characteristic of medieval French feudal obol coinage. A circular legend surrounds the cross, separated from the field by a beaded inner border. The flan is irregular and slightly off-centre, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period. |

Châteaumeillant's coinage authority during this period derived from a complex chain of feudal succession in the Berry region, and Marguerite de Bomes was among the rare female lords to issue coin in her own name in 13th-century France. Her right to mint was almost certainly contested — minor lordships across Berry faced mounting pressure from Capetian monetary centralization throughout the latter half of the 1200s, as Philip III and his administrators worked to suppress competing feudal emissions.
The Dyakov and Poey d'Avant references place this squarely in the documented but thinly studied tier of Berry féodales.
