| 裏面の説明 | Bare head of Kallisto facing left, depicted in archaic relief within a shallow incuse square. The portrait exhibits the bold, simplified facial features characteristic of mid-fifth century BC Arcadian die-cutting, with the head filling the incuse field. No legend is present, the design relying solely on the mythological subject for attribution. |

The Arcadian League's federal coinage was among the earliest attempts at a true monetary union in the Greek world, issuing coins under a collective identity rather than a single polis. Mantineia's participation ended abruptly in 385 BC when the Spartans forcibly dissolved the city, scattering its population into four separate villages under the Peace of Antalcidas — a synoikism reversed by decree. Federal issues attributable to this window are consequently rare at the fractional level, where production quantities were modest even in stable times.
