Popis líce	The obverse presents an aniconic design typical of Carolingian monetary reform coinage, featuring the emperor's name divided across two horizontal registers separated by a plain horizontal bar. The upper register bears the letters LVDO and the lower register VVIC, together reading LVDOVVIC (Ludovicus), the Latinised name of Louis the Pious. The legend is rendered in large, bold capital letters filling the entire field. The coin is bordered by a beaded or denticulated inner circle, characteristic of hammered Carolingian silver issues. The flat, unadorned field and epigraphic style reflect the standardised Carolingian denier and obol typology introduced under Louis I.
