Obverse description A plain cross pattée occupies the central field, its arms extending nearly to the inner border. The quadrants formed by the cross arms each contain a small heraldic leopard passant, rendered in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of Aquitainian hammered coinage. A legend in uncial Latin script runs around the periphery, enclosed between two beaded or toothed borders. The overall composition reflects the standard design conventions of mid-14th-century English feudal issues for Aquitaine.

Reverse description A leopard passant to the left is depicted in high relief at the centre of the field, its body rendered with incised detailing on the mane and limbs in the vigorous style typical of Plantagenet feudal coinage. The beast's head is turned to face the viewer. A legend in uncial Latin characters encircles the type, enclosed within a beaded border. The irregular flan and variable strike are consistent with hand-hammered production of the period.
