Obverse description Stylized three-aisled Romanesque church facade with two flanking towers surmounted by cross-tipped finials, a plain cross rising between the towers in the central gable. Within the nave, a frontal bishop's head is depicted in bust form; within each lateral aisle, a bishop's head appears in profile, facing outward. The architectural rendering is characteristic of the Friesach bracteate tradition, executed in the flat, linear hammered style typical of early 13th-century Austrian ecclesiastical coinage.
