| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field displays a plain cross pattée, its arms extending nearly to the inner circle, dividing the central area into four quadrants. The cross is boldly struck and serves as the primary type element. An inner beaded or raised circle frames the central cross, with the mint legend disposed in Carolingian majuscules around the outer field between the inner circle and the irregular beaded rim. The flan is uneven in thickness, consistent with hand-hammered production at a ninth-century episcopal mint. The overall style is characteristic of Carolingian obolar coinage struck under royal authority at Cambrai. |
