He holds a strung bow in his right hand, a dynastic emblem adopted as a symbol of Parthian royal authority. The Greek legend ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ (genitive: 'of Arsaces') is inscribed around the figure, identifying the issuer. The overall design follows Hellenistic artistic conventions adapted to Parthian iconographic purposes. |
