| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold cross pattée occupies the centre of the coin, with flared arms of roughly equal length, set within a beaded or plain inner circle. The surrounding legend, partially legible due to the irregular flan, reads PERTICENSIS, identifying the County of Perche as the issuing authority. The lettering is executed in a crude Romanesque capital style characteristic of anonymous feudal issues of the period. The field between the cross arms and the legend is plain. |

The counts of Perche occupied an awkward political position throughout the twelfth century — vassals of both the French crown and, through territorial entanglement, the Angevin empire — and their coinage reflects this instability through chronic anonymity. Attribution to a specific count within this twenty-year window remains unresolved, as the county changed hands and allegiance repeatedly during the reigns of Rotrou IV and his successors.
