Obverse description Facing bust of a crowned king depicted in a highly stylized, archaic manner, occupying the central field within a beaded inner circle. The figure wears a broad crown and displays a frontal face with schematic facial features. The arms are extended outward at either side, each terminating in a simplified hand or sceptre-like form, characteristic of early medieval Hungarian hammered coinage. The entire design is rendered in low relief with bold, simplified lines typical of the Árpád-dynasty minting style.
