Amadeus VIII ruled Savoy for over four decades, eventually abdicating in 1434 to live as a hermit at Ripaille — only to be dragged back into history when the Council of Basel elected him antipope Felix V in 1439, the last antipope in Western Church history. The billon obol belongs to the working currency of his early reign, before any of that.
