正面描述 Ram's head facing left, rendered in archaic style with fine detail on the fleece and curved horn visible above the eye. The eye is depicted as a raised pellet, and a second pellet appears below the jaw. The design fills the flan with characteristic Aeolian artistic convention, with no surrounding legend or border.

背面描述 Irregularly divided incuse square, characteristic of early Greek coinage produced by the mill-sail or quadripartite punch technique. The square is subdivided by a diagonal ridge into asymmetric compartments of varying depth, creating a rough, uneven surface typical of archaic Aeolian silver fractions. No legend or subsidiary device is present.

附加信息

Kebren was a minor Aeolian city in the Troad, inland from the coast near the Skamander River, and its coinage is among the scarcest of the small autonomous mints operating in that region during the fifth century. The city disappears almost entirely from the numismatic record by the mid-fourth century, likely absorbed into the orbit of larger Troad powers.

Klein 312 is not a commonly encountered reference, and auction appearances of attributed Kebrene obols in any condition are infrequent enough that population data remains thin.
