Obverse description A dolphin depicted in high relief, oriented diagonally across the field from lower left to upper right, rendered in a naturalistic yet archaic style characteristic of Peloponnesian coinage of the fifth and fourth centuries BC. The body of the dolphin is finely detailed with incised scale texturing along the dorsal surface, and the tail and snout taper elegantly to the flan's edge. The field below the dolphin is flat and unadorned. No legend or inscription is present on this face.
