| Obverse description | Frontal nude male figure, rendered in archaic style with broad shoulders and muscular torso, standing facing with arms slightly extended at the sides. The figure occupies the majority of the irregular flan, executed in bold relief characteristic of early Arkadian coinage. The surface of the field is rough and uneven, consistent with hand-struck hammered production of the late fifth to early fourth century BC. |
