| Obverse description | Boeotian shield depicted facing, rendered in high relief with characteristic concave sides and lateral cutouts visible at left and right. The shield fills the entire flan in the archaic style typical of early Boeotian coinage, with a smooth, slightly convex central boss. The surface exhibits the irregular fabric characteristic of hand-struck silver issues of this period. |
