Obverse description Griffin seated to right, with curled leonine body, raised eagle's wing, and prominent beaded mane rendered in archaic Greek style. The creature's forepaw is extended forward, and the head with open beak faces right. The entire design fills the irregular flan in bold, compact relief characteristic of early Mysian coinage.
