| Beschrijving voorzijde | Griffin seated to left in profile, depicted in the archaic style characteristic of Thracian coastal mint coinage of the early Classical period. The creature is shown with its forelegs planted firmly on the ground, its haunches raised, and its beaked head turned slightly downward. The compact, stylized rendering of the griffin's musculature and feathered body is consistent with Abderite coinage of the second quarter of the fifth century BC. The design occupies the full flan within a plain border of dots. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Incuse square punch divided into four quadrants by a raised linear cross, creating a windmill or quadripartite incuse pattern recessed into the flan. Within the incuse, a rough head or mask facing left is faintly discernible in one quadrant, a feature associated with early Abderite fractional coinage. The incuse technique reflects the archaic coinage practice common to Thracian and northern Aegean mints during the late Archaic and early Classical periods. The overall impression is deeply recessed within a square punch. |
