| Obverse description | Forepart of the Keryneian Hind depicted in high relief, facing right, the animal's body rendered with archaic naturalism typical of early fifth-century Arcadian coinage. The hind is shown in a crouching or bounding posture, with the head turned to face the viewer's right, its distinctive antlers clearly articulated. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with early hammered Greek silver production. No legend or inscription appears in the field. |
