| Beschrijving keerzijde | Nude male figure striding to right, depicted in a vigorous pose with arms outstretched, possibly representing a warrior or athlete in the local Thessalian artistic tradition. The Greek legend ΚΙΕΡΙ ΕΙΩΝ is disposed around the figure in the field, reading partially to left and partially to right, with the additional letter Φ appearing below as a possible magistrate's or control mark. The relief is bold and well-centred, and the flan retains the characteristic irregular outline of a hand-struck Greek silver obol. The composition is characteristic of the civic coinage of Kierion in Thessaly during the early fourth century BC. |
