Aanvullende informatie

Peirasia was a minor settlement in Thessaly, and its coinage output was modest enough that the issuing authority itself remains only partially documented in the ancient sources. Obols of this type are among the smallest denominations produced by Thessalian minor mints, struck at a weight standard that aligns with the broader Thessalian reduced obol tradition of the fourth century.
