Obverse description Youthful male head depicted in right-facing profile, rendered in fine relief characteristic of South Italian Greek coinage. The hair is arranged in loose, naturalistically rendered waves pulled back from the face and gathered at the nape, with a plain fillet or wreath barely discernible. The facial features are finely modeled with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a well-defined jaw, consistent with an idealized representation of Apollo or a local hero. The neck is truncated cleanly at the lower field. The field is otherwise plain, with the natural fabric of the hammered flan visible at the periphery.
