| Beschrijving voorzijde | Head of a wolf facing right in high relief, rendered in a bold, archaic Greek style characteristic of Argive coinage. The snout is elongated and slightly open, with clearly delineated ears and a muscular neck. The wolf, sacred to Apollo Lykeios, served as the principal civic emblem of Argos. The surface of the flan is irregular, consistent with hand-struck hammered coinage of the period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Large incuse square field containing the monogram of Argos: a large capital alpha (A) with flanking letters alpha (A) to the left and iota (I) to the right, forming the abbreviation for ARGOS. Below the central letter, a small Corinthian helmet is depicted facing left in the lower portion of the incuse square, serving as a secondary civic symbol. The design is executed in a shallow incuse relief typical of Peloponnesian small silver coinage of the late fifth to early fourth century BC. |
