Obverse description Cock standing and advancing to right, rendered in fine archaic style with detailed plumage and raised tail feathers. The ethnic inscription ΔI KAI is distributed in the field around the bird, partially flanking it to the left and right. The flan is irregular, characteristic of early Thracian hammered coinage of the fifth century BC.
