Obverse description Youthful head of Herakles facing left, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, with the beast's mane rendered in bold, deeply incised parallel lines cascading behind the neck. The hero's facial features are rendered in fine archaic-classical style, with a well-defined brow, almond-shaped eye, and gently parted lips. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of hand-struck Arkadian silver of this period.
