| Obverse description | Bare head of Apollo facing left, rendered in archaic Greek style with finely detailed wavy hair drawn back from the face. The facial features are naturalistically modeled with a pronounced eye, delicate lips, and a pointed chin. Greek letters appear in the right field adjacent to the hair, constituting part of the civic inscription. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, typical of Massalian hammered coinage of this period. |
