| Obverse description | Helmeted head of Athena facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet pushed back on the head, rendered in archaic Greek style. The facial features are modeled with broad planes characteristic of early Hellenistic Cretan coinage. The cheek-guards of the helmet are visible framing the face, and the hair falls in loose locks behind the neck. The flan is irregular, typical of small-denomination hammered silver issues from Itanos. |

| Reverse description | Eight-rayed star with elongated, slightly curved rays radiating symmetrically from a central raised pellet, filling the entire reverse field. The rays taper to pointed tips and are evenly spaced, giving the design a bold, geometric appearance. The type is the principal reverse emblem of Itanos and appears consistently across the city's silver coinage. The flan edges are irregular and slightly serrated from the hammering process. |
