Nagidos was a small Cilician coastal settlement whose independent coinage output was modest and chronologically compressed — most issues fall within a narrow window before the region came under tighter Persian administrative pressure. The city's silver fractional coinage is known primarily through a handful of die studies, with SNG Levante and SNG France between them accounting for the bulk of documented specimens.
The obol denomination here represents the smallest practical unit of silver exchange in the Cilician monetary system of the period.
