Obverse description Confronting head of a lion facing left, rendered in bold high relief characteristic of Pamphylian coinage. The mane is depicted with pronounced radiating locks framing the face, and the open jaws reveal the teeth in a snarling expression. The modelling is vigorous and naturalistic, occupying the majority of the flan. The irregular flan edge is typical of hammered silver issues of this denomination and period.
