Obverse description Youthful male head shown in left-facing profile, identifiable as a divine or heroic figure associated with the sanctuary of Olympia, rendered in the fine Classical Greek style. The hair is depicted in loose, naturalistic waves swept back from the brow and gathered toward the nape, with delicate strands indicated by fine incuse lines. The facial features are gracefully modeled with a straight nose, softly parted lips, and a gently rounded chin characteristic of late Classical Peloponnesian engraving. The neck is cleanly cut at the coin's lower field. No legend accompanies the portrait; a faint incuse letter Delta (Δ) appears in the field.
