Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the usurper Vetranio facing right, rendered with a bearded portrait in a strong, somewhat provincial style. The obverse legend surrounds the effigy, reading DN VETRANIO PF AVG, with the officina mark A positioned in the left field behind the bust. The laurel wreath is rendered with fine detail, and the paludamentum and cuirass are visible at the shoulder and neck.

Reverse description The emperor Vetranio stands facing left in full military attire, holding two labarum standards, each bearing a Christogram, one in each hand. A six-pointed star appears above his head in the upper field. The letter A is placed in the left field, while the mint mark •ASIS* appears in the exergue, denoting the first officina of the Siscia mint. The surrounding legend reads CONCORDIA MILITVM, referencing the harmony of the armies, a politically significant type issued during Vetranio's brief usurpation of AD 350.
