| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valentinian II facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The emperor's effigy is depicted with a pearl diadem, with drapery visible over the right shoulder and segmented cuirass details discernible across the chest. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The portrait style is typical of the Siscia mint output of the late fourth century, with a slightly stylised treatment of facial features. |
