| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Emperor Valentinian I, depicted pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed, the effigy rendered in the characteristic late Roman military portrait style. The pearl diadem is clearly articulated across the brow, and the paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder. The circumferential Latin legend encircles the bust, partially worn but legible, with beaded border visible at the coin's periphery. The portrait conveys the imperial gravitas typical of Valentinianic workshop production at Siscia. |
