| Beschrijving voorzijde | Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Valentinian III facing right, rendered in the late antique imperial style characteristic of fifth-century Eastern Roman coinage. The effigy displays a youthful profile with the emperor's distinctive diadem of pearls and a paludamentum over cuirass. The encircling legend reads D N VALENTINIANO P F AVG in Latin capitals, partially visible around the periphery. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the typical wear and patination of a small bronze nummus struck in the Cyzicus mint. |
