| Beschrijving keerzijde | Victory personified advancing left, holding a laurel wreath in her extended right hand and a palm branch over her left shoulder, emblematic of Roman military triumph. A star appears in the upper left field above an officina letter, while a second letter occupies the right field, serving as workshop control marks. The two-line reverse legend SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE is distributed across the field, proclaiming the security of the Roman state. The exergue bears the mintmark of the Siscia mint, incorporating the standard ASISC formula with variable officina and control letters across the numerous emission varieties. The design typology and execution are consistent with the Valentinianic small bronze coinage struck at Siscia between 367 and 375 AD as catalogued in RIC IX. |
