| Obverse description | Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Theodosius I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style typical of the Theodosian period. The effigy displays the characteristic pearl diadem secured at the nape, with visible paludamentum (military cloak) over cuirassed shoulders. The surrounding field carries the imperial titulature legend in Latin characters within a beaded border. The portrait, though small in module, conveys the conventional idealized authority of the reigning Augustus. The legend D N THEODOSIVS P F AVG runs around the periphery of the obverse. |

| Reverse description | Victory advancing to the left, depicted in full figure, bearing a trophy over her shoulder with her right hand and dragging a seated captive with her left. In the left field, a Latin cross surmounted by a rho (Chi-Rho monogram variant), serving as a Christian symbol of imperial authority. The mint mark appears in the exergue, indicating the Antioch workshop and officina. The reverse legend SALVS REIPVBLICAE is distributed around the periphery within a beaded border. The composition reflects the Theodosian ideology of Christian imperial victory over barbarian enemies. |
