| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing bust of Emperor Theodosius I, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, set within a beaded border. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the late Roman imperial style, with the paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is irregular and slightly worn, with patches of green patina obscuring portions of the legend. The portrait retains good detail in the diadem and facial features despite surface corrosion. |
